Macarlya Waters is a dedicated First Nations Education Officer at the Country Universities Centre Balonne. With a focused background in Education, Humanities, Creative Industries, and Student Academic and Career Support, she is committed to enhancing the educational experience for First Nations students studying on country. Macarlya is passionate about fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment, empowering students to reach their full potential and succeed in their academic journeys.
Eliza Woodruffe
Student Engagement and Support Coordinator (SESC)
Eliza has nearly 30 years experience in the retail, administration and education fields and is currently studying a Bachelor of Business part-time. Eliza is looking forward to providing a comprehensive range of support services for registered students, as well as facilitating widening participation activities for school-age students.

Jess graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Secondary Education. During this study, she majored in Geography and minored in English. Her philosophy in education is strongly focused on the core value that all students must have equal access to quality education and support. This ensures that, regardless of geographical location, students in rural and remote regions are provided with enthusiastic support and learning experiences.
Emily Geiger
Administration Assistant
Emily has worked in many administration roles over the years as well as owning a small business. After some time away raising three children, she is very excited to jump back into the workforce with CUC Balonne.
